What it takes to run here
Everything we need from you, and everything that will stop you, on one page. Read it before you apply rather than after — we would rather you know now than find out ten minutes into an application.
Every driver, every lane
What we need from everybody
These apply whether you own your truck, lease one from us, or drive ours.
You
- Class A CDL in good standing
- 25 years old or above
- 2+ years verifiable OTR experience in the past 5 years
- Current DOT physical and medical card
- A smartphone and a headset, so we can reach you safely
Your driving record
- No preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years
- No license suspension or disqualification for traffic convictions in the past 3 years
- No drug or alcohol convictions (DUI/DWI) in the past 5 years — and never in a commercial vehicle
- We do not accept SAP drivers
The truck
This part depends on whose truck you’re in
The equipment specs below are for drivers bringing their own truck. If you’re leasing one from us or driving a company truck, none of it applies to you.
Bringing your own truck
Your tractor and trailer need to meet these before you can run under our authority:
- Passed DOT inspection
- Capable of running an Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
- Air-ride tandem axle tractor and trailer
- A tablet with a cellular connection for the ELD
And the trailer is your call
- Dry van
- Late-model reefer
- Flatbed — with verifiable flatbed experience
Using one of ours
No truck, no equipment list. You need the CDL, the experience and the record above — that’s it. Lease a Freightliner Cascadia out of our fleet and you still self-dispatch, or drive a company truck on Midwest regional with a guaranteed weekly minimum.
